MEET THE 2025 EXPERTS

My name is Claire Bailey, I'm a qualified Nurse, Midwife, and Health Visitor with a strong background in family and community health. I’m currently working as a Health Visitor, where I support families with a focus on early intervention, child development, and parental wellbeing. As a mother of three and stepmother to two, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my role. I’m passionate about helping families thrive and making a positive difference in the early years of a child’s life.

Angie Willis aka The Eco Midwife, is a practising midwife in the NHS with over 13 years’ experience, working in a range of settings including birth centre, labour ward and specialist midwifery. Angie is a registered and qualified health visitor as well as a neonatal life support RCUK instructor, a NIPE practitioner and a breastfeeding volunteer, supporting hundreds of families over the years. Her two girls at home are her world and have taught her more than any of her qualifications in terms of adaptability and flexibility needed in parenting.

Lisa Joyce is the Founder of Folk and Thread and one of the UK’s leading baby sleep bag designers. With a 27-year career dedicated to designing for families, she is recognized as an expert in safe infant sleep and has served on both the British Standards and EU safety standard committees for baby sleep bags. Over her career, Lisa has won more than 50 design awards, reflecting her commitment to combining safety, innovation, and beautiful design. She is passionate about helping families sleep better by sharing knowledge on safe product use and what to expect. Through Folk and Thread and her charitable work, she continues to support families by creating products that help babies – and parents – rest more easily.

Meghan Campbell is the founder of AlignBirth, a multi award-winning online programme recognised nationally for transforming pregnancy, birth, and postnatal recovery.
In her talk “How to Prepare Your Body for Birth,” Meghan explores the importance of preparation during pregnancy to support labour. From understanding the biomechanics of birth, to pelvic floor and breathwork preparation, and the mindset shifts that make the biggest difference. She shows how theory becomes practice, creating the most powerful transformations.
AlignBirth is more than a programme, it’s a movement of women preparing differently: reducing pain in pregnancy, preparing for empowered birth experiences and recovering with confidence.

As an Ambulance First Responder with EMAS, Emily has extensive practical first aid experience and knowledge, and she also works part time in community stroke rehab. As a mum to two young children, she also really enjoys teaching early years and kids classes, and is a firm believer that children should be taught first aid skills from a young age too.

Marlene is proud to have been part of the Mini First Aid Family for six years, teaching essential first aid skills to parents, carers, and families. My goal is simple: to empower people with the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most.

Sam is mum to three young girls. With over 10 years’ experience in the dental industry as a Dental Nurse, Practice Manager, and training provider, she’s always been passionate about helping others learn. After becoming a mum to two very accident-prone children, Sam realised how invaluable her training was in staying calm and knowing what to do in an emergency, and is determined to share that confidence with others.

Richard’s love of the outdoors and adventure led him to leave home in the Highlands of Scotland to join our Armed Forces. During those years he qualified as a First Responder & served on a Mountain Rescue Team. This was followed by joining the Prison Service, where he remained involved in first aid, taking an opportunity to become a first aid trainer. Mini First Aid offers the perfect chance to fulfil what he enjoys while allowing him to help, promote and teach the value of first aid to everybody.

Beth is mum to two children, and has worked in nurseries, schools, and children’s social care for years. Beth believes that one of the most important things you can do when looking after little people is to know how to care for them if something goes wrong, and that’s why she loves sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm for first aid.

Vanessa is a mum to two energetic young boys, which has made her realise how important first aid really is, and is passionate to educate this amazing life skill to as many people as possible.

I’m Alexandra, mum to 1 year old Raffael and a personal trainer. I’ve been coaching women for nearly 10 years and the last 5 years I’ve specialised in pre and postnatal coaching which is a huge passion of mine.
There is such a lack of information on how and why you should be exercising throughout your pregnancy and postpartum and how to do it safely therefore, I want to empower women to move with confidence during this time and beyond.
Alongside personal training I’ve been in the mum and baby industry for 13 years working as a buyer starting my career at Mothercare, I’ve founded a pre and postnatal athleisurewear company and more recently I’ve worked at MAM Baby.
