Peace of Mind for Parenthood: Protecting Your Family’s Future

Ben Waller Future Life
Wills & Insurance

Having a baby changes almost everything - including what it means to make sure your family is protected. But with wills, guardianship, life insurance and financial protection to think about, it can be difficult to know where to start or whether the arrangements you already have are still right for your family.

In this practical and reassuring session, Future Life will take you through a simple Family Protection Review, helping you understand the key areas every growing family should consider. We’ll discuss when and why it's relevant to have an up-to-date will, whether you should be choosing guardians for your children, or whether any existing life insurance or protection you already have needs to be fortified as you prepare to welcome a new addition to the family.

There’s no complicated jargon - just clear, useful guidance, a simple checklist of what to review and the next steps you can take, helping you get the important things sorted and leave with greater confidence and peace of mind that your family is protected, whatever the future brings.

Lisa Joyce , Co Founder Folk & Thread
Understanding Safer Sleep and Baby Sleep Products

Lisa Joyce is a UK Baby Sleep Product Design Expert and national chair of the BSI safety committee that steers the UK's safety standards for baby sleep products. She is also a multi-award-winning designer and co-founder of Folk & Thread, the UK's dedicated sleep bag specialist brand.

Lisa's mission is simple: protect babies from unsafe, non-compliant products and make safer sleep accessible to every family through safe, affordable, organic products and expert education. For Lisa, keeping babies safe isn't just about understanding safe sleep practice — it's about selecting and using the right products too.

She is the driving force behind The Better Sleep Project, the UK's first safety-checked baby sleep product donation programme, supporting Baby Basics UK, the UK's largest baby bank network, so safe products reach families who need them.

For Lisa, safety and design should never be a trade-off — that belief sits at the heart of everything she builds.
